SPORTS, NECK AND BACKS
“I am 19 years of age and I am a full time cyclist. In 2015 I will be cycling full time for a top French amateur team and am aiming for a career as a professional cyclist. If it wasn’t for Maeve Whelan at Milltown Physio none of this would be possible. Last year I got a career threatening injury which meant I could not cycle whatsoever. After some research I came to see Maeve and after numerous sessions she totally cured my injury and I am extremely grateful for her and her work. Her extensive knowledge and fantastically beneficial treatment is unrivalled and there is no doubt I would still be unable to sit on a bike if I hadn’t came across her. Thank you Maeve”.Matthew Teggart ( Irish U23 Cyclist) “Hi FrankJust finished my thesis and had to drop you a line! I want to thank you for all your guidance and support in helping me stay physically strong and injury free over the past two years of study.
Each day I diligently did my exercises and the relief was huge. Much better than taking any painkillers! Self healing is the way to go!EM
“Following a fall, it was suggested that I see Stephanie Crossland at Milltown Physiotherapy. She diagnosed the extent of my injury and I attended her for pre and post operative care.
Thanks to my surgery and her wonderful professionalism, expertise and treatment afterwards, I made a full recovery.
I recommend most highly Stephanie Crossland and Milltown Physiotherapy.HM “Came to Frank Kenny two days before the Dublin marathon with back pain. She is delighted and working very hard right now. Thanks very much for the care and support – no doubt your care has been a big factor in her recovery and her achieving her goal of selection.”Eleanor “I highly recommend Frank Kenny at Milltown Physio, he gives great advice on how to manage your pain and you are given tailored exercises which are emailed to you with video clips to ensure you use the right techniques. Frank reassured me and gave me confidence that recovery was possible after a year of discomfort while walking and unable to run. I am now back running thanks to Frank’s help and the exercise techniques are now part of my routine. Thanks for listening Frank. Milltown Physio has a lovely relaxed environment.”Colin “Brilliant results in just 2 months with my knee pain, almost gone now!

It was a pleasure to meet you and you motivated me following the surgery to carry out your instructions to the letter and reassured me with the knowledge that there would be light at the end of the tunnel.”Kenny “I came to Milltown Physio to see Suzanne Skelton in June following a fall and suffering major trauma which resulted in fractured vertebrae and several other minor injuries. The treatment I received has been exceptional, friendly and tailored to my timetable and abilities. Currently I am almost fully recovered to the state I was in prior to my fall with the assistance of the staff. Following the exercise program has made me realise the true value of physiotherapy”Augustine O’Connel “I am an avid cyclist and overall sporty person and came to Milltown Physio to see Sarah a year after a cycling accident. After a misdiagnosis which I got treated on for a year I came here based on a recommendation. I was in a desperate state with ongoing lower back pain which hindered all my sporting activites and every day life.Within just a few visits, a tailored exercise plan and some dry needling I feel a million times better and overall pain free. I still come here for maintenance. I’m feeling very grateful. Thanks!”Nicole
“My sincere thanks to Helen Mac Devitt for all the help she has given me to alleviate a long standing problem. After visiting Helen only a few times I finally feel I am getting some relief from these symptoms, which I had given up hope of ever having. I have to say that Helen is very thorough, professional and I will be recommending her to all my friends.”LR“I have been attending the clinic for different complaints over the last 10 years. In that time I have been treated for (sports and other) injuries to my back, my knees and my shoulders. I have found the clinic at all times to be efficient, courteous, pleasant and above all effective in the treatment of my various ailments!”DH[/ezcol_1half] [ezcol_1half_end]PELVIC GIRDLE PAIN AND PREGNANCY
“I had been everywhere with my abdominal and pelvic pain and no one laid a hand on me till I came to Milltown Physiotherapy, it was the first time anyone had really identified my pain. Now I have my life back”.JN “I first attended Milltown Physiotherapy Clinic when I was pregnant with my first child. I had never heard of PGP, and the symptoms came on very suddenly around week 28 of my pregnancy. Over the space of one weekend, I went from feeling fine to not being able to walk without help – Sarah helped to get me moving again and together we battled to keep the symptoms at bay for the remainder of the pregnancy. When I was having my second pregnancy I knew that the odds were that the symptoms would be worse. Even though I wasn’t in any pain, I went back to Milltown around week 20 and was surprised to find that I did have lots of areas where pain points were building up. I’ve continued going every two weeks or so and am feeling so much better this time around, even though I am physically putting a lot more pressure on my body as I am looking after my 20 month old daughter. I couldn’t recommend Sarah and the Milltown Physio Clinic enough”Fiona “After my treatment for breast cancer I developed chronic pelvic pain, I thought it would never go away and had lost all hope. I received so much treatment for it but nothing helped. Finally, after pelvic floor physiotherapy at Milltown my pain is gone and I can get on with living”.FO’N “During my second pregnancy I was having some pelvic pain, but managing it myself and thought it inevitable with a small child to look after and busy working day. However, over the space of a few days in my third trimester, the pain rapidly increased, to the point where I was in absolute agony – I couldn’t lie down at all, could barely walk and could sit only very uncomfortably for short periods of time.Having attended the prenatal pilates classes at Miltown Physiotherapy Clinic on my last pregnancy, I phoned them first thing on a Monday morning after an awful weekend to see if they could help.Mary was very knowledgeable and I immediately felt that I was in safe, professional and experienced hands. She clearly explained her diagnosis, the treatment required and what I could expect from that treatment, as well as giving practical advice for the steps I could take myself to support her treatment plan.Under Mary’s watchful eye, I am mobile again, the pain is significantly reduced and importantly, I can sleep! Of particular importance to me is that the pain has been managed to such a degree that it will not impact the birth of No.2.I will be forever grateful to Mary and all the Team at Milltown Physiotherapy for their help over the last few weeks and would not hesitate to recommend them to any prospective patients”.Sally YOGA AND PILATES
“Michele’s relaxed yet professional style allows everyone to feel at ease, to perform to their own ability and to achieve their own goals at the class. I find the classes really well structured and they flow really well. I feel energized and de-stressed afterwards. She is the reason I have stuck with yoga and will continue to do so as long as she is around.”Olivia BurkeMichelle is great, and caters for the needs of all participants. She varies the movements to allow everyone with their various aches and pains to work at their own level. As one of the older class members and maybe the stiffest, I feel I can cope and join in the class fully. My regret is that I didn’t do yoga years ago.Helen Sheridan“Michele is a great teacher, very calm and reassuring. She is cognizant of all of our different physical limitations and tailors the class with this in mind. I have recommended her to many friends.”Mary Griffin [/ezcol_1half_end]
