Mary and Gráinne raising money for Peter McVerry Trust
September 15, 2015 5:07 pmGood luck to our physiotherapists Mary McGuinness and Gráinne Wall in their cycle from Dublin to Wexford in aid of the Peter McVerry Trust. I know they have been doing a huge amount of training leading up to this tough cycle. They leave early Saturday morning and will cover 133km before arriving into Wexford town on Saturday evening.
Hopefully the weather holds up for them and the practice has donated some funds to support the fantastic work that the Peter McVerry Trust does to tackle homelessness, drug misuse and social disadvantage. It has supported thousands of vulnerable young people on the margins of Irish society and in 2014 worked with 4,460 participants across its services in Dublin & Kildare. The charity offers pathways out of homelessness based on the principles of the Housing First model and within a framework that is based on equal opportunities dignity and respect. You can donate to the charity here if you so wish, or if you would like to take part in the cycle it’s still not too late!http://www.welcomehome.ie/donations–contact.html
